Bao Luo SeriesThe Uterus Channel (Bao Luo) energetically connects the Heart and the Uterus and the Kidney. Though there are many patterns and potentially other channels involved in a TCM diagnosis, many treatments focus on balancing aspects of the Heart and Kidney channels. The Heart Channel governs the blood and the Kidney Channel governs reproduction, and if mental-emotional problems affect the Heart, Kidney or Uterus Channels, an alteration in menstruation occurs. The menstrual cycle consists of four phases involving nourishing, invigorating and moving blood and qi and aspects of Kidney energy. Regular menstruation functions to rid the body of old blood, hormones, heat, and emotions. Build up of these and other aspects cause imbalances which could lead to physical disturbances or conditions. Most women and those that keep company with us have experienced emotional changes whether weepy or irritated and body sensations of water retention, heat, cold, aching or pain. The waning of the menstrual cycle in perimenopause and menopause causes its own set of physical disturbances and body sensations. One term, five center heat, encompasses symptoms of temperature, emotional and fluid alterations. Conditions of varied cycle lengths, volume and consistency of discharge, fertility challenges, and menopausal concerns regardless of origin can be moderated within the parameters of Chinese medicine. Our shop lists each of our Bao Luo Series oils and its benefits. These oils can be applied over the heart and the lower abdomen, as a daily moisturizer or during massage. Note that some herbs and essential oils are contraindicated in pregnancy. Consult your practitioner or physician or medical team. Elemental Oils are not intended for use during pregnancy. |
